A good weekend, decent profit to add to the coffers.
All the selections ran very well and placed in competitive races, in hindsight should have gone EW on Rafferty’s but I had a niggle he might win or blow out.
Recuerdame was a very god winner and Caithness hasn’t stopped winning yet, just came up against a McManus owned winner, like Sonigino, who were chucked in and hard to gauge that type.
Fugitif, as I said, is an 8 year old to go to war with and finally, I wasn’t overly happy with the ride on Sonigino (wouldn’t have won) but do these jockeys not listen, watch and learn.
ALL meeting the coming wide tactic was useless and the clerk of the course TOLD them so. The winners and placers came up the inside and I feel that horse can win a nice handicap, probably over further.
It’s the usual midweek stuff but Friday sees some good racing with the start of the 2 day Ascot November weekend and then the normal busy Saturday so with that being said, I shall be back next probably early Thursday evening (no later than 7:30PM) with any selections for Friday.
