A Selection for Today and Thoughts Ahead

Morning folks

No damage with just over 1 point dropped, we had a lot of the selections run well for place profits.

I though BAD was the winner all the way and I had got it down to the first two. Had the betting overnight been the S.P’s I may have sided with Hansard as value is key!

It paid to prominent but our front runner in Ireland went too fast under his claiming jockey and did well to hold on for the place money. Midnight River was cantering (a bit far out to say he could have won) but he was going nicely until unluckily falling but that’s racing.

In hindsight should have left Bangor alone but on we go.

Sandown hosts the two day Tingle Creek meeting starting Friday. I may have a look at that card but have an Hospital appointment for surgery that I have brought forward and cannot wait any longer so may be strapped for time. Then Saturday, which is the day I come out, is joined by Aintree, the feature being the Becher Chase. Write up’s will likely be kept to a minimum so I will be back Thursday evening with any tips but will update accordingly.

One for today is as below. A lot of shorty, well backed favourites in most of the contests.

1:25 Fairyhouse

FARREN GLORY – 1/2 Pt EW 15/2 generally (drifting so may get bigger)

This smooth traveller has had just the two starts over hurdles, but such is the regard he is held at home, connections are more than willing to let him take his chance at Grade 1 level. He posted a god time at Thurles last time out, winning nicely after a final flight mistake. He definitely doesn’t fall short of the standard here and could shake up the favourites in this.
