Badly disappointing Sierra Blanca is a non runner as I thought he’d go mighty close! As I have said to you many times before, I will be treading carefully during this notoriously tough crossover of disciplines period (flat ending, winter jumps better horses starting off their season), 25 years experience has shown that it’s a tough time. A race I do like tomorrow over jumps is below. More to follow when I have had a good look at the tracks/how they are racing.

BEACON EDGE – 3/4 Pt Win @ 14/1 Bet365, 12/1 generally
IDEM – 3/4 Pt Win @ 10/1 generally
Instead of strong each way I will play the pair. The form of Beacon Edge’s last run at Galway has worked out tremendously well with the 1st, 3rd & 5th all winning next time but the intriguing and hopefully winning edge is the horses record in October. He is 5 wins and a narrow 2nd from 6 attempts!! His prominent racing style at this track also a positive. Idem is an up and coming smooth travelling improver capable of much better this season. Both have had a run and both love this good ground so I though worth playing the pair in an open qualifier for the Festival.
