Good morning folks
A decent week following from a good last Saturday, it was nice to see the Nap Zarzyni get up and few others ran well, apart from the jumpers who in hindsight have probably had enough!
There is some decent action throughout the week, the Irish Grand National being the big race tomorrow on likely Heavy terrain. Redcar has a couple of races also so not that much to look at so I will be back in the morning with Easter Monday tips if I can find anything but will update for the week either way.
16:05 Plumpton
AFADIL – 1/2 Point Each Way @ 11/1 4 places generally
Tactically versatile and it might pay to forgive and forget his demise at Aintree in a first-time tongue-tie that’s soon removed. He had previously turned a corner with big runs in two strong handicaps, travelling smoothly in both looking all over the winner and this fast track can hopefully play to his strengths.
17:15 Plumpton
MR FREEDOM – 3/4 Point Win @ 4/1 generally
Mr Freedom tends to save his best for Plumpton, with his course form figures reading 12312, which includes his best two Racing Post Ratings. He was an encouraging third on his reappearance at Bangor following 210 days off the track last month, and that form is working out well, with the impressive winner bolting up again since and the fifth winning on his next start, while the second filled the same berth in a premier handicap next time. He’s dropped to a mark 1lb below his last winning one and connections have likely had their eye on this for a while.
