Two Races for Easter Monday

Good afternoon folks

Another couple of jumpers didn’t do as I expected (Mr Freedom arguably unlucky) so I will be switching to the turf flat asap.

Having said that, a couple of races for Tomorrow (one on the sand I like also but that’s end of season so we’ll see) are below. I don’t envisage anything else for Monday but will update in the morning either way.

16:05 Kempton

TIGER CRUSADE 3/4 Point Each Way @ 18/1 Hills boost, 16/1 normal, 14/1 places Betfred, 12’s 4 Sky, 14/1 generally

Loves this C & D and should have won here 3 runs back, The trainer is on fire and has a superb record when putting Callum Shepherd up at this venue. They are a remarkable 6 from 11 (55% Win SR) and 7 placers in handicaps together past 3 seasons. This should be run at a good clip and he does need to leave his last 2 runs behind but if reproducing his previous course form goes very close.

17:00 Fairyhouse

KINTURK KALANISI 3/4 Point Win @ 11/1 Lads, 10/1 generally

ANOTHER CHOICE 1/2 Point Each Way @ 55/1 Hills & Unibet boosts 6 places, 50/1 6 places generally

This horse was second to Three Card Brag in a beginners’ chase at Navan in January when he finished ahead of Scottish National winner Captain Cody and the aforementioned Now Is The Hour, the seven-year-old catching the eye with the way he travelled.

That marked him out as a novice to watch out for in handicaps and he duly went off 5/1 for the Leinster National at Naas in early March, where he was going the best when brushing through the top and unseating his jockey two from home.

I think he would’ve probably won and he gets in this off the same mark, while the excellent Darragh O’Keeffe takes over from a 7lb claimer in the saddle.

His stamina is an unknown, but he shapes like he wants a trip and he had good big field form from his handicap hurdle days at Punchestown, so he is expected to take to the test well.

A neck second at Fairyhouse in December, he’s got the course form, too, and looks a potentially well-treated novice that’s worth chancing.

I will throw in Another Choice at a massive price who is nicely weighted and was a narrow 2nd over C & D in a good handicap on his last run.
