A Further Race for Chester Day 1

A further race for Wednesday, back from late afternoon onwards for Thursdays action.

16:45 Chester

SPIRIT GENIE 3/4 Point Each Way @ 8/1 4 places generally

KOY KOY 1/2 Point Each Way @ 12/1 4 places generally

A very open race but I’d rather have two darts at this than the 3 year old races.

SPIRIT GENIE, whose latest Musselburgh performance was as encouraging as his Doncaster reappearance, continually denied a run at the Donny track. The five-year-old doesn’t have much leeway from his current rating, but he’s back on his last winning mark and given that he’s yet to run a poor race on the Roodee and is a C&D winner, he might be worth chancing for a yard in fine form who have surely primed him for this!

Koy Koy doesn’t win as often as he should but I found, interestingly, that when he raced from this rating of 86 and below, over 7 furlongs reads a very eye-catching 1,1,2 (narrowly beaten) Lougnane is a jockey I like and has won on him. Finally, Koy Koy has run here just twice, narrowly beaten each time so worth playing the pair.
