Afternoon folks
This, like Doncaster, used to be a prestigious 3 Day meeting but, as we saw with the final Day of the St Leger meeting last Sunday, the 1st days handicap racing is mainly very low grade and having perused all the races on the card, nearly all of them were tight or had little appeal.
I had a good look at the best race for me/us (the Class 2, ten furlong handicap) but nothing stood out at the weights or prices. It had a feel of anybody’s race to be honest so it’s a NO BET day Thursday.
Friday’s card is better but not brilliant so I shall have an in depth look and update/mail accordingly before 7:30PM tomorrow evening.
Saturday looks, as usual, a cracker of a day with Ayr joining York, Newbury & Newmarket so I predict we will see plenty of action for then.
