Loves this C & D and quickish ground, his form figures at this track and trip read 1,2,5 but that only tells half the story as he travelled like a dream on each occasion, latterly finding the trip on Soft ground a bit too far despite cantering clear. His win was impressive and he was short headed in this very race last season, making a storming run after again travelling smoothly but given way, way too much to do and he narrowly missed. He is a 1lb lower here and has been running much, much better than seems in the top handicaps. Trainer could be in a lot better form but this horse is Seriously well handicapped now so well worth backing IMO!
