Good evening folks

Final two tips below, along with the one’s already sent below them. Back throughout tomorrow for Saturday’s action.

3:25 Ascot

METAL MERCHANT – 1/2 Pt EW @ 14/1 4 places Bet365, 10/1 4 places generally

Tipped the last twice, hopefully 3rd time lucky in this massive drop of class. Cut in the ground is what this horse has been crying out for IMO and he should get that given the forecast.

4:45 Newmarket

LOVE DE VEGA – 3/4 Pt EW @ 15/1 5 places Bet365 , 14/1 6, 5 places Skybet, 16/1 4 places Bet365, 14/1 generally

This 4 year old looks interesting in this off a very attractive mark, just 1lb higher than for his last. He goes exceptionally well fresh and returned from a 415 day break to bolt up by over 2 lengths in a competitive C & D handicap 1st run last season. He went off after that but returns back here from 258 days off so I am hoping his front running style, back from the break, is the key and at the price worth chancing I thought in a tricky contest.

2:05 York

ABLE KANE – 1 Pt Win @ 17/2 boost William Hill, 8/1 generally drifting

This front runner breaks fast and impressed me with his win at HQ LTO under today’s pilot Ben Curtis. Curtis has a remarkable record when teaming up with Rod Millman, especially in handicaps. Since October 2020, they have combined just 8 times and returned a stunning 6 winners and a narrow 2nd!! That improves 3 wins and a 3rd ALL time over this trip of 7 furlongs. He wont mind what the weather does and this speed favouring track should suit.

3:00 Newmarket

PRYDWEN – 1/2 Pt EW @ 19/2 4 places Bet365, 9/1 4 places generally

3:50 York

SHIMMERING SANDS – 1/2 Pt EW @ 22/1 4 places generally

Progressive, bombed out on the AW LTO. Shane Gray is 2 from 5 on him and he can go well for his in form yard.

5:10 Ascot

GREAT MAX – 3/4 Pt Win @ 14/1 Bet365, 10/1 generally

Tipped at the Royal Meeting, ran a cracker on the far side unfavoured rail. Sprint bred, this big drop in class and to 6 furlongs looks very interesting IMO and he could make all these go off the front end.
