Below are the current horses to follow. Horses are removed when they win or after 3 runs.
ALJARI (2021-02-02) – Unfavoured by racing on the inside at Southwell when tipped, he is looking very well handicapped now and with the yard in great form, I think he can gain a win in the coming weeks.
ALNASERAT (2021-02-24) – Ran a decent race at Lingfield despite a wide trip, can take a 7 furlong handicap on the AW.
AMARILLO STAR (2020-11-09) – Got stuck in the mud at Doncaster, this horse is improving and is a sprinter to follow. Should take a big handicap as a stronger 4 year old next season.
ANOTHER CRICK (2021-03-09) – I expected a bit better from this horse when tipped at Newbury, a course he loves, but he got behind and could never get back into it. He could take a nice handicap chase on Spring ground.
ARRIVEDERCI (2020-12-23) – I strongly fancied this one at Ascot but not for the 1st time strange results at that course in that ground. Was progressing nicely before that and the form is strong and is still well treated at present to take handicaps in the coming months
ARTHURIAN FABLE (2020-06-22) – Ran a cracker despite a brutal trip/draw. The form is very strong IMO and he can win soon. – Jul23rd Won 3/1 (Paid 4.40 BFSP) off list
ATHEEB (2021-02-02) – A big disappointment Saturday, he was not given the greatest of rides and challenged on the inside of the track which is NOT the place to be at Lingfield. He also suffered a bit of interference but showed me enough to suggest one of these 1 mile handicaps will come his way soonest!
BARNTOWN (2019-12-15) – Conditions and distance didn’t play to this improver’s strengths at Cheltenham where it was nowhere near soft. He stayed on well and has a good 2m 4f handicap in him.
BARON BOLT (28Sep19) – Was well backed at Ripon but failed to show his true running. Not seen since and will be interesting when he returns to the track off a reduced mark of 92.
BERNARDO O’REILLY (24Sept20) – Ran a cracker in the Silver Cup, being drawn on the wrong side. Can take another handicap with cut underfoot.
BLOWN BY WIND (07Mar20) – Played up at the start Saturday, lost all chance by starting slowly then racing keen off a wide trip. His win at the end of the last flat season was most taking and this good looking 4 year old can surely add to those gains in his next three runs if he calms down at the start! June 6th – Won 6/1 (BFSP 8.00) off list
BROAD STREET (2020-06-27) – Ran too bad to be true, something must have been amiss given his previous form against Bowerman. A mile on fast turf is what he wants.
Caen Na Coille (2020-01-11) – Can prove to be well handicapped for a yard that knows how to get the best out of them – Mar 7th Won 7/1 (Paid 9.47 on the BFSP) off list
CAME FROM THE DARK (2020-09-11) – A sprinter to keep onside when the ground is soft. – 26th Sept20 Won 3/1 (Paid 4.78 BFSP)
CHAMPAGNE PLATINUM (2020-12-01) – Could have done with a better pace after tanking and ran well and my thoughts were he looked the ideal type for the Coral Cup, 2m 5f at Cheltenham, or the Pertempts over 3 miles, for a stable that target those tough handicaps and races they do exceptionally well in.
CAUSTIC LOVE (2020-06-15) – Ran well to finish 3rd considering her stable are woefully out of form. A decent fillies handicap, at 1 mile on softish ground is when to look out for her.
CLONDAW CASTLE (2020-03-16) – Withdrawn due to ground conditions, will go well in chase handicaps at 2m 4f but needs goodish ground – Oct25 2nd 14/1 (5.20 BF Place SP), Nov 27 Won 11/2 (7.74)
Concierge (2020-06-27) – Ran better than first looks Saturday back from a break. He challenged on th wrong side of the track and this 4 year old can win again – Aug 19th Won 17/2 (Paid 12.00 BFSP)
Crixuss Escape (2020-12-23) – This 7 year old was going well before falling 6 from home and could have gone close IMO. I feel he can win a good staying handicap, with testing conditions over 3 miles his optimum conditions.
DANYAH & GROVE FERRY (2021-03-30) – Both these 4 year old’s go on the list as when tipped in the Lincoln, the farcical early pace saw them overrace, too keenly. They can both win nice 1 mile handicaps this season when set up’s are more favourable.
DARK JEDI (2020-08-23) – Travelled well and just failed at York, the step up to 1mile 4furlongs seemed to bring about a bit more improvement and he can take a nice race this Autumn – 05Sept 2nd 22/1
Deputy’s Oscar (2019-12-07) – Looked and travelled like the winner Saturday until getting tired late in the piece. Improver WILL win soon!
DEYRANN DE CARJAC (12Mar20) – Never got into contention after being hampered, look out for him on Spring, faster ground where he will go well!
DONALD DUX (2020-12-01) – Travelled into contention well back off a break, looks to have another handicap hurdle win in him from his next 3 efforts. – Dec10th Won 9/4 (BFSP 3.65)
DUTUGAMUNU (2021-01-22) – Too bad to be true when tipped Saturday, his previous win was very taking in a good time. Still only 4, has scope to improve and I expect him to win again soonest. Feb 19’21 Won 7/2 (BFSP 5.32, +4.23)
EAGLE COURT (2020-11-09) – Another to run poorly in the Doncaster mud, 1m 2f looks to be his bag and he will be another 4 year old to follow.
ELERFAAN (2020-06-15) – Ran too bad to be true Saturday after being very well backed, a return to 7 furlongs round a bend can see him pick up a win in his next 3 runs.
Endless Flight (2020-02-15) – Made good headway Saturday but far too quickly and too soon. Found the step up in trip in testing conditions against him but Will win again IMO when dropped to 2m 4f.
ESKENDASH (2021-03-22) – Tipped at Kempton, ran well and looked the winner possibly just needed the run after a 6 month break & 1st time wind surgery. A quick ground, flat track 2 mile handicap chase looks his for the taking on one of his next 3 runs.
ES PERFECTO (2021-02-24) – Travelled supremely well at Newbury on Sunday, looked the winner two out before stamina gave out IMO. A drop back to between 2m 4f/2m 5f can this this horse take a nice handicap on Spring ground. Won 1st run (BFSP 2.21 +1.19)
ES PERFECTO (2021-03-22) – Won at odds on for the tracker Sunday, I will put him back in as this is a massively improving horse that relished the quicker surface and can surely take a nice class handicap hurdle at 2m4f to 2m6f which looks the upper end of his stamina in the coming months.
FANION D’ESTRUVAL (2020-11-17) – Smooth traveller, should develop into a smart chaser this term and can win a nice race this season
FITZROVIA (2020-07-28) – Gamble off the boards lto, never got a run and can make amends soon as – 03Sep Won 8/1 (paid 11.59 on BFSP)
FLASH THE STEEL (13Mar20) – Another given a very poor ride IMO in the very last race of the Festival. He had beat the winner, Indefatigable, senseless at Chepstow so remains very well handicapped and can surely take another decent race soon as! 3rd run Nov27 Won 12/1 (Paid 16.47/3.91 on BFSP)
Fransham (2020-01-11) – Another who under performed on the day, this 6 year old is much better than that and I am sure, when the ground improves, he can win again in his next three outings – Oct30 Won 5/2 (BFSP 3.85)
GREAT AMBASSADOR (2021-03-30) – Bolted up when tipped Saturday, this 4 year old WILL go on improving this season and can take a big sprint handicap.
GROVE FERRY (2020-10-27) – Unlucky to be caught on the wing at Doncaster, should pick up a race in his next 3 runs and could be the type to make a nice 4 year old. Feb27’21 Won 9/4 (BFSP 3.66)
HAAFAPIECE (2020-12-15) – Another horse to take a tumble when looking all over the winner at Cheltenham, he too can win another handicap this season.
HAMISH (2020-06-22) – Another 4 year old, given a poor ride at Ascot, can make amends soonest but wants softish ground.
HONEST VIC (2020-12-01) – Never made the running in his life which counted against IMO up in Grade when tipped Friday. Granted he faced a stiff task but he was well backed and the way he won the time before at Cheltenham, which was backed up by the clock, another win must come his way this season!
HUMAN NATURE (07Mar20) – Unlucky on Saturday, loves Chelmsford and can add to his winning record there shortly. – June 10th – Won 9/2 (BFSP 6.96) off list
HUNTSMAN SON (2021-03-22) – Ran a cracker from an uncompromising position to land the place money for us. Faster ground on a flat track (bolted up at Wetherby so something similar) can see him back in the winners enclosure and I am very hopeful he goes to Haydock (as with Milkwood) as there is a 2m 4f handicap chase tailor made for him.
Indeed (2019-10-13) – Back from an enforced break, this 4 year old is still improving and didn’t get the run of the race when tipped at Newmarket on Saturday but still ran well to finish 2nd. Any type of ground seems to suit, and his breeding suggests an All Weather listed campaign couldn’t be ruled out if connections so wish but with the turf season coming to an end, he will pay his way next term if not turning out again in the near future.
INVITATIONAL (2020-08-04) – Ran a good race considering she fly-lept and lost 5 lengths at the start! 7 furlongs is what she wants and she can win again.
JAMAIS ASSEZ (2020-06-15) Looked like he was coming to win a furlong out, moving up smoothly. I think the lack of a run/extra furlong found him out and he can win a nice handicap at 6 furlongs with cut in the ground.
JUST CALL ME AL (2021-03-22) – A horse I backed at Donny in the week, absolutely cantered through that race but a little too keenly and was found to have bled and lost a shoe badly after the race. Can take a handicap hurdle soonest.
KINGBROOK (24Sept20) – Ran a cracker at Newbury given how hard he pulled, can win a nice handicap, maybe next year as a 4 year old. Oct 9th Won 14/1 Paid 22.00/4.20 BFSP
KING OTTOKAR – (2020-09-15) – was cantering in the race but could never get a clear run. This strapping 4 year old can win a nice 1 mile handicap with cut in the ground before the season is out.
LAUGHIFUWANT (2020-10-10) – Nailed on the post when tipped LTO, this consistent horse can take another race on his favoured soft ground before the season is out. – off list 3 losses
LUNAR JET (2020-09-03) – A horse I like who has done us some turns, caught the eye from an uncompromising position at Newmarket. Dropped to a good mark can take advantage on softish ground soon! – Oct14 Won 12/1 (BFSP 12.58/2.90)
Mack The Man (2020-02-08) – Mack The Man was cantering when brought down and, given what I said about how well handicapped he undoubtedly is, the Imperial Cup/County Hurdle double must be on the agenda with the bonus a real carrot and I can see him doing it with a bit of luck so look out for the ante-post prices, especially the Imperial Cup at Sandown, a course and distance he has already bolted up at! Jan 21 Won 10/11 (BFSP 1.86)
MARRIONNER (2020-08-23) – Lost lengths at the start at Sandown then got into all sorts of trouble before coming home strongly but snatched up late. This 4 year old can win shortly – Oct 10th Won 8/1 (Paid 12.01 BFSP)
Massa Lubrense (2019-10-19) – Not seen to best effect this weekend, this improving horse still remains one to keep on side. Has won very well on the All Weather so is versatile as regards going/surface and is definitely one to be interested in on his next three runs!
MICK MAESTRO (2020-12-15) – Looked to be going well before taking a heavy fall when tipped at Doncaster., can make amends soonest. 1st Run Dec28 Won 16/5 (BFSP 4.73)
Midnight Tune (2020-01-18) – Got took on for the lead at Haydock, will surely bounce back when the right tactics are adopted. Feb 21st Won 7/4 (BFSP 2.94)
MILLTOWN STAR (2020-09-03) – Travelled as well as anything at Goodwood he came with a winning looking run two out but the lack of a run told late in the piece IMO. Can make hay this backend on his favoured soft surface! Mar’21 Off List 3 losses
MR HARP (2021-01-22) – Travelled as well as anything in the 3mile Pertemps qualifier. Looks ahead of his mark and can take a soft ground race this season.
Mr Pumblechook (2019-11-30) – Moved very well yesterday, a win is almost certainly on the agenda in his next three runs
MUSICAL SLAVE (2020-12-01) – Caught the eye staying on late in the good Newbury handicap Friday, looks one for a big handicap chase now stable in form, possibly over 2m 5f +. A progressive 7 year old to follow. – Off List 3 losses
MUSIC SOCIETY (24Sept20) – cruelly unshipped his jockey coming out the stalls, had hinted his turn was near with his eye-catching run the time before. Can get on the scoresheet before the campaign is out.
NOT THAT FUISSE (2021-03-22) – Travelled like the winner all the way, possibly the uphill finish finding him out. A big handicap on goodish ground on a flat track can see this horse make amends (watch out for him if going to Aintree, a course that should suit admirably)
NUBE NEGRA (2021-03-22) – Was unlucky in the Champion Chase, this improving horse will take another good graded race in the near future hopefully (watch out for him if going to Aintree, a course that should suit admirably)
ONEUPMANSHIP (2021-01-13) – Caught the eye at Wincanton for a small yard, travelled into the Class 3 handicap like a good/well treated horse and he can take a nice handicap this season. – April01’21 Won 10/11 (Paid 2.02 BFSP)
OUZO (2020-08-23) – This 4 year old ran well to be 5th in a very, very hot handicap when tapped at York. Possibly just needed the outing after being gelded, this 4 year old remains on the up and can pay us back soonest! Oct 9th Won 11/1 (Paid 17.91 BFSP)
Papagana (2019-12-22) – Compromised by the way the race was run IMO on Saturday, this improving mare is one for a good decent graded race, possibly back against mares at Cheltenham or Aintree.
PIKE COUNTY (2020-11-09) – Very unlucky Sunday when tanking and stepped at the last. Looks very well handicapped and will make amends soonest.
Plantadream (2020-11-15) – Given too much to do when tipped Saturday, was very well backed as if defeat was out of the question and surely just a case of losses lent
Ptarmigan Ridge (2019-10-26) – Although a non runner given the abandonment of Doncaster, this horse needs to be followed. Soft ground over 7 furlongs is his bag but he also goes very well at Kempton so he can take a nice handicap in the next three runs I feel, especially with the useful 7lb claimer Angus Villiers doing the steering.
RAYONG – Made a massive move against the track bias, another horse that can be followed off list Won 11/8 (BFSP 2.42)
Regarding Ruth (2019-12-15) – Again, conditions were not to suit but this mare will win again. Made nice headway around the field before lacking a change of gear she can take advantage of lesser assignments. Oct 1st Won 16/1 (BFSP 20.65)
Rosy World (2019-11-10) – Prominent/front running tactics didn’t play to this strapping mares strengths Saturday. Looks well handicapped and can reward the faith in the coming months. Mar’21 Off List 3 losses
RUSSIAN VIRTUE (2021-03-30) – Caught the eye with a luckless run at Doncaster, a return to a 1 mile trip looks sure to suit this lightly raced 4 year old and the shrewd David Menuisier can get a decent race out of him.
Sams Adventure (2020-01-18) – Sent off favourite for the big handicap chase at Ascot, never went a yard. This 8 year old must be kept onside for the remainder of the season. Mar14 1420 Utt – Won 6/1 (8.20) off list
SHANG TANG (2021-02-02) – Pulled way too hard when I tipped him in the Lanzarote hurdle at Kempton, he showed Saturday at Doncaster that he has a big handicap in him IMO. He made smooth headway when trying the 3 mile trip for the first time and that big effort, combined with the very testing conditions saw him predictably fade late on. 2m 5f – 3miles looks his ideal trip. Feb 19’21 Won 15/8 (BFSP 3.32, +2.27)
SINAWANN (2020-09-15) – Most unlucky when tipped on Saturday, this smooth traveller looks a winner in waiting and can repay us soon as.
SKY PIRATE (2020-12-15) – Did us a turn on Saturday, bolting up as expected and the drop back to 2 miles was definitely the key and I can see him winning a big handicap chase at that distance this season. – Jan16th’21 Won 6/4 (BFSP 2.69)
Stonific (2020-02-29) – Bolted up for us Saturday, he can surely add to his tally now the penny has dropped. He loves Doncaster and he did us a turn early last flat season on the Town Moor so look out for this useful dual purpose horse, especially if turning up on Turf Moor! July 17th Won 3/1 – off list
STORM GODDESS (2021-03-22) – Unfortunate we didn’t get to see what she could do at a monster price but the weight of money that saw her go from 50/1 into 14/1 at the off was telling and she is definitely one to keep an eye out for in the coming months for 3 mile handicap hurdles.
SUNSET SHOWDOWN (12Mar20) – Travelled too well if anything, can take a nice handicap in the coming months for a stable that know how to train similar types having taken the Stayers Hurdle with a progressive handicapper!
SUNSET WEST (2021-02-02) – Travelled like a decent horse Saturday, unsure why he hit a flat spot but looks primed for a win, possibly stepped up in trip or at a stiffer track.
SURREY PRIDE (2020-10-27) – Hated the deep ground at Newbury, will be the type to make a nice 4 year old and I can see him winning a big handicap next year.
TAKEIT EASY (2021-03-09) – Another horse tipped that didn’t get the race run to suit, there is definitely another handicap hurdle to come from this improving horse.
TEGEREK (2020-11-17) – Tipped in the Greatwood on Sunday, Tegerek cantered into contention and looked the winner. Improver can win again.
TINANDALI (2020-07-22) – Didn’t enjoy a clear passage in the ‘John Smith’s Cup’ nearest the rail and once out flew home for 5th. Has a decent handicap in him this year and will pay us back I’m sure!
Tinto (2019-11-16) – An improving horse, the best is yet to come and he can make a cracking 4 year old when he will have all the major 6 furlong handicaps on his agenda. – June 5th – Won 40/1 (BFSP 55.00) off list
TREACHEROUS (2021-03-22) – Again tipped Saturday, ran well but just had a little too much to do and another that possibly needed the run. That should have teed him up for another successful turf campaign and this improving sprinter is one to follow.
TYPHOON TEN (2020-12-23) – Was very unlucky when tipped Saturday, jockey took the hood off late then he was hampered before flying home. Can win a nice handicap when things pan out better for him over the coming winter months.
Velma Valento (2019-11-16) – Smooth travelling French four year old, didn’t get the run of the race Saturday when trapped on heels. Will definitely pay her way and a tilt at finals day looks the plan for her shrewd trainer who has a great record when raiding these shores
WAIT FOR THE LORD (2021-01-13) – Dived for the inside of the course Saturday which wasn’t the place to be. A bigger field/truer gallop can see her win again in her next three
WEATHER FRONT (2020-10-27) – Kept on well from an impossible position at Cheltenham on Friday. Can win a nice handicap, probably up north. – Mar6TH Off List 3 Losses
WELL SMITTEN (2020-11-05) – Badly hampered Saturday on a couple of occasions, travels well and can win a handicap chase in his next runs IMO – Off List 30th Jan’21 3 losing runs
WEST TO THE BRIDGE (2020-12-23) – I strongly fancied this one at Ascot but not for the 1st time strange results at that course in that ground. Was progressing nicely before that and the form is strong and is well treated at present to take handicaps in the coming months. Off list 3 losses (Mar2nd’21)
WHATMORE (2020-11-05) – Looks a big handicap chase winner in waiting, this 8 year looks well treated and can be followed.
WHATSUPWITHYOU (2020-11-17) – Agonisingly picked up when tipped Saturday, looking all over the winner but his inexperienced jockey went too soon IMO! Looks well handicapped on that run and this strong travelling horse can take a nice handicap this season – 2nd run 4th 33/1 (BF place SP 8.83)
WISE COUNCIL (24Sept20) – Another 4 year old, possibly needs a return to 7 furlongs which can see him strike.
WISE WORDS (24Sept20) – Ran too bad to be true, was improving markedly before that can get back on track
