Good afternoon folks

A couple of further tips, that owe us a turn on a powder dryish day are as below. Nothing more to follow for Saturday.

2:25 Haydock

PRYDWEN– 1/2 Pt Each way @ 16/1 4 places bog generally

C & D winner, last winning jockey aboard who is mustard. Stable form the concern but looks overpriced given his form and worth another chance.

4:45 Haydock

JUST BRING IT– 1.5 Pt Win @ 7/2 generally

Clive Cox’s gelding shaped well when runner-up in a deep-looking Newmarket contest on his penultimate outing, responding quickly to lead in rather taking fashion before being caught late by a handicap newcomer. He again looked a well-treated horse when tipped, finishing fourth behind Royal Ascot contender Covey in the Silver Bowl over C&D a fortnight ago, badly checked for momentum as just his challenge began to mount before keeping on again once in the clear. After those promising efforts in stronger races, I’d be disappointed if Just Bring It couldn’t at least go close to taking advantage of the drop back into Class 4 company with his mark unchanged.

MAKAROVA– 1/2 Pt Each way @ 33/1 bog generally

MONDAMMEJ– 1/2 Pt Each way @ 18/1 bog generally

I am going to give this smooth travelling 4 year old one more chance as we all know she was badly compromised here LTO by the draw bias. Seemingly better berthed this time around (who knows with this clerk of the course??) she is reunited with Tom Marquand who has ridden her just the twice, gaining a smooth win and a narrowly beaten 2nd. The trainer feels the ground maybe an issue but her sire relished it. The drop back in trip is also a concern but there will be a rocket pace on in this which hopefully will help carry her into the race and we are getting 33’s due to aforementioned so at the price, in a tough to work out race, worth chancing.

As stated two weeks ago, 5f on Good to firm is what our old friend Mondammej needs. His record over C & D reads 1,1,4 with that 4th coming in a Group 2!

1:50 Haydock

SILVER SAMURAI– 1 Pt Win @ 9/1 Bet365, 8/1 bog generally

A very impressive winner of this race last year, he has been shaping as coming to the boil. Winning jockey back in the plate and 1st time cheekpieces should spark him up. If so, should go close.
