Good evening folks

Further bets below and the full list.

This year I am going to concentrate more on the very good handicap hurdles and the better class All Weather events and limit my chase picks as run of the race/ground conditions play a massive factor more so in those races.

That’s all for tomorrow

1:10 Lingfield

THEBEAUTIFULGAME– 1/2 Pt Each way @ 13/1 Bet365 5 places, 14/1 4, 11/1 generally

This consistent filly has caught my eye on a few occasions, travelling smoothly. This her AW debut but the sire has a cracking record with such types and the trainer does very well indeed with this type. Indeed, he looks to mean business as he has a 50% Win Strike rate at this track (3 from 6) when booking jock Jack Mitchell and she looked well over-priced to me in this.

1:15 Haydock

ALBERTS BACK– 1.5 Pt Win @ 13/2 888Sport, 11/2 generally

Ran a cracker LTO, staying on strongly over an inadequate 2 mile trip. He will relish conditions and indeed sauntered home over C & D the ONLY time he has ran here. He is back on his last winning mark so all in all I thought he would go very very close.

5:30 Wolverhampton

POETIC FORCE– 3/4 Pt Each way @ 11/1 4 places generally

Goes very over C & D, well drawn and for tomorrow’s jockey who has never been unplaced on him from 4 rides to date.

6:30 Wolverhampton

CIVIL LAW– 3/4 Pt Each way @ 15/1 Bet365 5 places, 16/1 4,12/1 generally

Course form figures read 1,1, and a narrow 2nd from just 3 attempts! He has won after a 127 day break at the start of the season so the 105 day absence shouldn’t pose a problem I hope.

Trainer/jockey have a 40% strike rate together at the Midlands track and I thought he could go very well from a good draw returned to his favourite haunt.

2:25 Haydock

WHOLESTONE– 1/2 Pt Each way @ 23/1 Bet365 5 places, 25/1 4, 20/1 generally

GENTLEMAN AT ARMS– 1/2 Pt Each way @ 25/1 4 places generally

At a huge price, I thought I would chance tis veteran who bolted up over C & D in a Grade 2 hurdle on similar ground in February.

Trainer and jockey have a cracking 33% win strike rate when teaming up at this Merseyside track so I thought worth chancing.

It’s not hard to imagine trainer Stuart Edmunds has left a bit to work on with Gentleman At Arms fitness-wise, and it’s noteworthy the same Aintree race he ran in has thrown up a couple of subsequent winners of this race in the past (Paisley Park and Stoney Mountain).

There isn’t too much pace on in this event and the front-running Gentleman At Arms, who jumped well and raced enthusiastically for a long way before looking like he needed the run at Aintree, is being overlooked. He could yet prove up to defying this mark (143) and rates a good each-way play in this for a stable/jockey combo who team up well here.

3:15 Ascot

THYME WHITE– 1.25 Pt Win @ 11/2 boost Will Hill, 5/1 & 9/2 generally

THIRD TIME LUCKI– 3/4 Pt Win @ 13/1 Will Hill, 11/1 generally

Thyme White bolted up over C & D and a replication of that effort can see him go very close, raised just 7lb for a stable on fire.

Third Time Lucki travels smoothly and Dan Skelton trained handicap chasers go well as this course. Keilan Woods is an interesting booking also.
