Good Morning All
Nothing further doing Today.
Finalised list of all selections for Saturday below with reasoning attached.
13:50 Sandown
TIPPY TOES – 3/4 Pt Win @ 10/1 Bet365 (B.O.G) 9/1 generally
EXISTENT – 3/4 Pt Win @ 14/1 generally
Tippy Toes met significant trouble in running at Royal Ascot (behind Nymphadora) and that effort needs considerable marking up! She will need to jump better from the stalls but if she does, this smooth traveller could well have the pace to grab the rail and a stiff 5f looks perfect.
Tipped at Ascot, Existent was drawn on the wrong side in that Group 1 sprint. Close second in the Palace House at Newmarket on last Group 3 start, drop back to this grade may have positive effect.
QUOTE
Stuart Williams, trainer: “He was running against the best sprinter in the world in the King’s Stand last time and he was drawn out on the wing which didn’t help. This is a more realistic level and we’re looking forward to it.”

ZIMMERMAN – 1/2 Pt Each way @ 33/1 5 places Betfair 40/1 Bet365, 33/1 4 places generally
Has shown twice in handicaps this year that he goes well on soft, latterly when winning in clear-cut fashion over 1m4f at this track in first-time cheekpieces (kept since); pulled hard when fair eighth of nine at Musselburgh (good; 16-1) later in May, which he needs to avoid on this step up in trip but he’s of renewed interest if the ground is softer than good.
14:25 Sandown
TRAIS FLUORS – 1/2 Pt Each way @ 16/1 4 places generally
Defied a 7lb higher mark over C&D last June, bolting up for today’s jockey who gets on well with him and rides the C & D exceptionally well. He’s knocking on but his best recent effort was when third at Redcar two starts ago and would be a big player if back to the form of his course and distance win.
14:40 Haydock
NELL QUICKLY– 3/4 Pt Each way @ 14/1 Bet365 & Skybet 4 places, 16/1 normal terms generally
4 year old’s have a cracking record in this. Tipped & Backed LTO on seasonal debut, she ran well on quick ground to land the place spoils. Denis Coakley is in great form with 3 winners from his last 6 runners and has yet to have a horse finish outside the frame in 4 attempts over C & D to date. The softer ground will suit much better and although she has a lot to find on official ratings, if stripping fitter for her last run can run a good race for us with Probert a good booking (2 from 4 over C & D in Non-H’caps)
15:15 Haydock
IT’S GOOD TO LAUGH– 1.25 Pt Each way @ 16/1 Bet365 (B.O.G) 16/1 5 places generally
SECRET SHADOW – 1 Pt Win @ 16/1 Bet365 (B.O.G), 14/1 & 12/1 generally
The former needs NO introduction and owes us one! He has been mightily unlucky the last twice and with useful 5lb claimer Harry Davies booked, should go extremely close granted his deserved luck in running this time off just 8st 4lb!
SECRET SHADOW looks dangerous also at the foot of the weights.
She’s a much better filly when the mud is flying so should be in her element here and it’s no surprise she skipped the whole of June as conditions have generally been on the quick side for her, no doubt.
This event could be absolutely ideal, though, as we know she stays every inch of the trip and further, having won over a mile and three-quarters on deep ground at Nottingham and Newbury last autumn and trainer Andrew Balding took this event last season.
15:50 Haydock
SIGNORA CAMACHO – 1/2 Pt Each way @ 20/1 4 places Skybet, 22/1 generally
Third to Ramazan at Beverley (5f, good to firm) on second start and runner-up at Thirsk (6f, good) latest, albeit no match for the winner; improvement is necessary but possible in a nursery her trainer won in 2019 and the sire was also a Group 1 winning Sprinter over C & D so can go well.
16:10 Sandown
AQWAAM – 3/4 Pt Each way @ 16/1 Bet365 (B.O.G) 4 places, 16/1 5 places Skybet 16/1 4 places generally
Has the look of a Gamble in the making to me and should go very well at an each-way price in the Coral Play Racing Super Series For Free Handicap.
Ian Williams has not been in any great rush with this former Roger Varian-trained son of Sea The Stars, but his latest of two efforts so far for the stable suggested he is progressing along the right lines and gave the strong impression he will be well suited by this step up from an extended seven furlongs at Chester to this stiff 1m 2f trip LTO when staying on very strongly.
Williams has a cracking record with his 1st time handicappers and is eye-catchingly a Winner & a close 2nd from JUST 2 runners here last 6 years!
His sire Won the Coral Eclipse on this card back in the day so hopefully his son can follow in his hoofprints and go close for us in a very winnable race off an attractive opening handicap mark.
16:25 Haydock
ZIP – 3/4 Pt Each way @ 25/1 Skybet 5 places, 24/1 5 places Bet365, 28/1 4 places generally (28/1 Boost with William Hill)
Has a tremendous record over C & D on Soft ground, was narrowly beaten in this race last year by Young Fire, collared late in the piece after looking all over the winner. Finds himself 7lb better off today with that rival, he has been shaping better than his form suggests of late.
The booking of Laura Pearson was the final key for me as she has ridden JUST 9 times for this yard and booted home 4 winners and 6 placers! so I think he can go very well indeed from the foot of the weights!
20:20 Carlisle
ARRANMORE – 3/4 Pt Each way @ 16/1 generally
Fully 16lbs better off with 2nd favourite Detective whom he beat comfortably over C & D last year. He is 2 from 2 on Good ground over C & D (forecast going) and found the wide draw, fast ground against LTO (0 from 11 on Gd/Firm)
He is just 3lbs higher than for his last comfortable win at this Northern Track and I particularly like the booking of jockey Shane Gray, who is 1 from 3 ALL Time at this track for the yard and a perfect 1 from 1 aboard Arranmore which all suggests to me that a massive run is in the offing at his favourite venue!
