Saturday 31st December

Good evening folks

Two further selections for Tomorrow are as below, along with the one’s already sent. Nothing more to follow. Back later Saturday with any selections for the New Year’s Day action.

12:10 Newbury

LIME DROP– 1/2 Pt Each way @ 10/1 4 places Skybet 11/1 generally

2:05 Lingfield

MOHI– 1/2 Pt Each way @ 20/1 4 places generally

His comeback run smacked of a tea up for this IMO and he has been dropped a generous looking 3lbs in the process. That was his first run back after 188 days off and a 1st time gelding operation. He loves racing on the all weather and Trainer & jockey have had 3 winners 4 placers from 7 in C & D handicaps past 2 years so the fact Kirby is back in plate suggests a better run is anticipated and I can see why.

1:10 Newbury

GALLIC GEORDIE– 1 Pt Win @ 5/1 generally

An impressive winner of this race last year, he was going well when slipping and falling LTO. Stable going great guns and can go close in a repeat bid for victory.

1:35 Warwick

ONE FER MAMMA– 3/4 Pt Each way @ 12/1 Bet365 4 places, 17/2 4 places generally

Relishes very testing ground which it looks sure to be given the soft already conditions and plenty of rain in the Warwickshire area. Although it was a class 5 event, this consistent sort bolted up over C & D and his trainers has a remarkable record with his handicap hurdlers here of 2 winners & a narrow 2nd from 3 runners!!

His low weight is surely going to be a huge benefit in likely testing conditions and I anticipate a huge run is in the offing.

1:50 Newbury

NINA THE TERRIER– 1/2 Pt Each way @ 13/1 5 places Bet365 (14/1 4 places), 11/1 Will Hill, 10/1 5 places generally

Likes Newbury and better ground. She made a big move to soon in the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham LTO and ridden more patiently, can arrive on the premises late on to hopefully have a big say at the finish.

3:00 Newbury

THOMAS MOR– 1/2 Pt Win @ 33/1 generally

YOU WEAR IT WELL – 1/2 Pt Win @ 25/1 generally

Both real strong gallopers, no doubt we will learn plenty more about all of these runners shortly after 3:00, but I am confident that the two highlighted ones should not both be rank outsiders and if the short priced favourite fluffs his lines, hopefully one of our two can take advantage at a tasty price.
