The Week Ahead

Evening folks

A very testing weekend on the punting/tipping front with ground conditions having a major say. I clawed back a good few points with yesterday’s three big priced placers and we would have come out well in front had Torcello not been agonisingly beaten on the post after looking all over the winner bar the line! A lot of very disappointing runs IMO but the beauty of this game is we go again and I have NO doubt in my mind that we have a good war chest of well handicapped, progressive young horses to go into battle with as this season unfolds and hits full stride!

On we go and Chester’s three Day May meeting kicks off on Wednesday. The first day is more about the two and mainly 3 year old’s, a lot of them first time out which are races that do not really suit my picking style, especially this early in the season.

There is just the one all aged handicap on the card that I will mainly focus on so I will be back late tomorrow afternoon onwards with any selections on Wednesday’s card.
