Afternoon folks
The day started brightly yet again with the Nap winning well. Berties Ballet was most unfortunate and surely would have gone close IMO had he not suffered from our other faller and becoming detached in last. He made smooth headway and brifly challenged but had too much to do in the end and did well to snaffle the place gains for us.
The weather badly affected the rest, only two horses finished inthe Grimthorpe and that is this time of year. Bring on the spring. Poetic Force was most disappointing as I expected a big run but I have noticed all season with the AW racing it’s turning into French racing, going slow in front then quickening. No chance to chalenge from way back. Treading water but no damage done and we move on.
Saturday sees Sandown on the menu along with Wolverhampton which hosts a decent card. I will be in attendance at that meeting and hope to come up with some decent bets although it is time for the flat turf now. Back throughout the day Friday for Saturday’s racing.
