A nice profit on the day yesterday, could and should have been over double had Streak Lightning not gotten nobbed close home by the complete rag (33’s) with NO form at all!
That result just highlights how tough this game is as it was an impossible to find winner IMO! Urban Sprawl got challenged for a contested lead which compromised his effort I thought but maybe he is more of a ‘placer’.
Rebel Gold’s inexperienced jockey went a crazy gallop and I knew he wouldn’t sustain that. Seems like to me we never get a front runner do us a turn?
I will be glad to see the back of last year, my Nan died also before New Years Day to cap an awful year off, but I am moving positively and mentally forward this year and I feel it WILL be a good one heading into my 50th year!
Friday sees some good quality racing (don’t know how the fields will hold up at this far out of a stage) with ITV broadcasting races across three courses so I will be taking a good look at those cards and will be back next from late afternoon onwards Thursday with any selections or an update either way.
