Good Morning folks
A very good Saturday on the whole, making up for last week but again, with that bit of luck that seems to have deserted me this year, it should probably have been a cracker!
Yet again, a monster gamble, and it was a monster given the prestige of that big handicap failed to deliver a win for us but Apiarist was mightily unlucky IMO, snatched up 2 out when cantering with the winner behind at that point. Had he got that passage, after running on so strongly in testing ground, he would most certainly pushed him very close if not got up!
That’s racing and to cap it off I left Naina out who was narrowly denied for us LTO over C & D at a big price. There were so many fillies and sprint races (ridiculous race planning to my mind) so I tried to limit outlay given the storm weather forecast.
We had 2 non runners and if in the action on the Day of the race, I knew she would make the running, and it sounds silly I guess (a winner is a good winner) but at 100/30 overnight, with what could have been a ferocious headwind I though she may prove vulnerable again late on. Of course it turned out to be a strong tailwind, she drifted to 9/2, and duly bolted up! Maybe you spotted her and had a bit on.
We move on and French racing wouldn’t normally be my bag but it is superb racing at Longchamp and I have a trio of selections below I like (She’s quality owes us a turn hope it not too soft for her?) a lot if getting the rub of the green and doesn’t turn out to be a bog?
With that said, they are below and with some nice racing Friday, so I shall be back next from late Thursday afternoon onwards with any selections if I can find any for that. Hopefully the 3 below go well.
